Maroon Isle Productions presents Oskuneru 2025!  Celebrate Black History Month with this powerful theatrical event at Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus (MDC). Developed in partnership with Main Street Players, this production brings the story of the Surinamese Maroons to life with culture, music, and history. Join us at  Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus Building 1, The Art Lab in downtown Miami.

Oskuneru is a fictional story about true events of the Maroon people and follows the lives of four African Children during the colonial era. Follow the lives of these children as they seek out what their divine purpose may be when their world experiences a paradigm shift.
